St. Luke’s Building Committee

GOD'S WORK DONE GOD'S WAY WILL NOT LACK GOD'S SUPPORT!
· During the Sep 2004 Church Council meeting, the AD HOC Building Committee proposed the following:
A. Develop specific needs for additional property
B. Develop specific needs for facility expansion/renovation
C. Develop specific needs for additional parking
D. Appoint a property committee to make formal purchase offers to Mrs. Moore @314 Ella Taylor Rd and Mr. Dan Hawley @110 Valentine Ct. and possibly Mr. Schroeder @111 Valentine Ct.
E. Appoint a Building Committee to start work with a designer or architect for the expansion and building reorganization plus additional parking spaces.
· The initial St. Luke's Bldg. Committee was appointed in November. 2004. The initial appointees were: Ron Dorenbush, Betty Miller, Bob Dye, Carol Barrett, Debbie Frecker, Bo Bohannon, Joel Everhart, Kathy Everhart, Rob Anderson & Theresa Crocker.
· The committee was charged with developing specific needs as stated in A B, & C above. The committee developed and circulated a survey to St. Luke's members to determine what God was laying on their hearts for new and/or renovated church facilities. 144 surveys were completed and returned with the results attached.
· The committee visited Seaford Baptist Church, Liberty Baptist, Bethel Baptist, First Fox Hill UMC & entertained a visit with Dan Clemens from Myler Church Building Systems. We also interviewed and attended meetings with Co-Leaders and members of the following ministry areas -- Communications, Education, Nurture, Outreach, Service, Worship, UMM, UMW, Youth, Music, Pre-school, Food Closet, Office Staff, as well as participants & leaders in ASP, BVS, Easter Egg Project, Advent Dinner & others from the community who use the church facility.
